Victoria's dad plea

Victoria Beckham persuaded David to start building bridges with his father months before his near-fatal heart attack.

The mum-of-three wanted Becks, 32, to repair the rift with Ted, 59, who remained in a stable condition yesterday.

David and Victoria, 33, spent two-and-a-half hours at his bedside in a private ward at The London Chest Hospital after Victoria flew in from Japan.

A friend said: "David is just glad Victoria is here to help him through this."

Father and son fell out in 2005 over a book which Ted wrote about David without his permission.

But the pal explained: "Victoria hated it when they fell out so there had been a few phone calls.

"Now his dad's illness has really made David realise what's important."

Gas fitter Ted had to be resuscitated by paramedics after suffering chest pains at his Chingford home in North London on Wednesday. An emergency op cleared a blocked artery.

Thanks Shiraz, it's funny how Victoria wanted David and his father to do things better between them and still some papers (Daily Hate Mail) claims that Victoria is guilty to their rifts..

I don't think the rift was as big, he just wasn't around as much after the divorce and when he said he hadn't told David about the book the press made it a huge deal. Whatever issues they had, it was over for a while since he was helping out at the london academy.

^yeah, of course they are overdo those things and i bet that everybody has been some rifts with their parents - i have..
