Victoria Beckham passes through security as she prepares to depart from LAX airport in Los Angeles Wednesday afternoon en route to New York City.

The former Spice Girl donned a white dress decorated with pockets, zippers and buttons galore. She finished off her look with a pair of tan Christian Louboutin slingback pumps.

Victoria is scheduled to officially launch her new fashion line, DVB, at NYC’s at Saks Fifth Avenue on Thursday evening.

It was just announced today that her hour-long TV special Victoria Beckham: Coming to America, which follows her family’s trek across the pond from London to Los Angeles, will premiere in July. The special will bright to light her mischievous sense of humor and willingness to poke fun at her image.

“Viewers will get a first-hand glimpse into what it’s like to be one of the most sought after celebrities in the world,” said NBC. “Victoria’s every move is documented by the paparazzi, but only our cameras have been allowed inside the world of what being Victoria Beckham is really like.”

Victoria Beckham: Coming to America airs Monday, July 16 @ 8PM ET/PT.

Posh forced to abandon six-inch heels by airport security

Oh dear. Fashionista Victoria Beckham was forced to remove her trademark accessory - towering six-inch high heels - and she did not look pleased.

The star, who is not one to be seen without stilettos, scowled as she took off her Christian Louboutin stilettos during an airport security check.

Wearing a crisp white dress and matching handbag, Beckham was en route to New York after a stint in Los Angeles.

Days earlier, Posh showed her sporting prowess, playing catch with Dodgers pitcher Derek Lowe during a promotional appearance in LA.

But even on the field Beckham proved her obsession with heels, opting for a sneaker-inspired pair of high wedges in place of regular joggers.

The star is soon to hit screens in the US - television network NBC has confirmed her program, titled Victoria Beckham: Coming to America, will air as a one-hour special next month on ET.

NBC Entertainment executive Craig Plestis said: "Viewers will get a first-hand glimpse into what it's like to be one of the most sought after celebrities in the world."

"Victoria's every move is documented by the paparazzi, but only our cameras have been allowed inside the world of what being Victoria Beckham is really like."

Beckham originally signed a deal with NBC for six episodes of a 30-minute unscripted series recording but it has since been downgraded.

She has been working overtime to raise her profile in the US, but insists she's not consumed by the need for public approval.

Beckham has said: "If I was really bothered about what people think, I'd have slit my wrists a few years ago.

She added: "I hope they like my TV show. I hope they like me. But if they don't, I'm not going to lose any sleep on it."
