THE BECKHAMS’ hairdresser is moving 5,500 miles to help them look like Hollywood superstars.
Celebrity snipper BEN COOKE has been her stylist for seven years and is responsible for her Pob and her recent blonde transformation.
Now he and business partner JONATHAN LONG are setting up a salon in LA to add to Lockonego, their premises in London’s Kings Road.
Ben has become a close friend. DAVID and the kids, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, have all had their hair cut by him.
Jonathan said: “We had meetings in LA when Victoria was there for the Oscars to see about expanding our brand over there.
“We spoke with magazines and hair cosmetics firm Wella. We want to create a salon there as soon as possible.
“Ben flies anywhere in the world to be with the Beckhams if he can. It would be easier if we had our own salon there. Friends say Victoria can’t live without us, which is lovely. We don’t want to rely on Brand Beckham, although Victoria’s name on our books means a lot.
“This is our own project we have dreamed about for years. Victoria is really excited about us setting up in the US.”
I reckon having her favourite stylists in LA is going to be a lot cheaper than flying them halfway around the world for an emergency cut and blow dry.
Her recommendations to celeb pals KATIE HOLMES and J-LO could be priceless for their business venture. But first they have a few stumbling blocks to overcome.
Jonathan said: “It looks like we’ll have to go back to beauty school to get our visa.
“It doesn’t matter if you have to cut Victoria Beckham’s hair or the Queen’s — you need to have different qualifications.”
