Posh looked devastated when police stopped her for taking a wrong right-turn – all in front of the waiting paparazzi.

But she soon turned on the charm, pouting sweetly in a tight black dress as she handed over her licence.

But she still got a ticket and was sent to apply for a California driver’s licence.

A day earlier she raised eyebrows on arriving at a Santa Monica sex shop.

LA has been well and truly hit by Hurricane Beckham . . .

This is the moment that Victoria Beckham nearly came a cropper with two American coppers...

The mum-of-three was pulled over by motorcycle police after making a dodgy manoeuvre in her blacked-out Cadillac Escalade on a Los Angeles highway.

Posh, 33, performed an illegal turn that was spotted by LAPD traffic cops. They demanded to see her driving licence and insurance documents before accompanying her to the Department of Motor Vehicles to register her monster 4x4 and apply for a Californian driving licence. A source tells us: "She was having her driving lesson filmed for her show for American TV when she got stopped for doing a turn she wasn't allowed to.

"It was all a bit embarrassing, but luckily no charges were brought against her and it'll make great material for the TV show."

Sounds like an episode of LA Lawless...

Victoria Beckham is getting lots of attention in LA - but not always the kind she'd hoped for.

The star has had a run in with the law on the streets of Los Angeles, where she was pulled over outside a Hollywood shopping complex by a Beverly Hills officer, who ran checks on her British driver’s license.

Beckham put a cheeky strategy for buttering up police to the test - a yellow lacy bra was peeping out of her figure-hugging black shirtdress.

But she needn't have bothered - she was eventually given the green light, and continued on her shopping trip.

A day earlier, Posh raised eyebrows when she paid a visit to Santa Monica’s Pleasure Chest "speciality shop", where she tried on PVC gloves.

Across town, she also managed to get a laugh out of the hoards of photographers who follow her every move.

Posh had arranged for Team Beckham to prank the waiting paparazzi with an unusual body double - they dragged out a blow-up doll out of the star’s SUV in her place.

As well as doing what she does best - shop - Beckham has also been working overtime to raise her profile in new hometown.

She is as filming a reality TV series, and has has just signed on to hand out an award at the MTV Movie Awards 2007 on June 3.

She is set to join other A-list presenters at the event including Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Alba and Cameron Diaz

its all part of her dry sense of humour, which many people don't get lol. think she looks great. How many people do you know that drive with their bodyguards and film crew?

Hopefully the show goes well even though I don't think she should be doing it in the first place.
